The process of manipulation and modification is present in every aspect of our modern society. Very little we use or consume has not been touched by another. This made me wonder how our consumption of Cow's Milk varies from the intended recipients. When I found an image of a diary farmer's daughter posing in front of milking machinery, I had to take the opportunity to turn her into the anthropomorphized view of the cow.

The core of this piece is from an old Union Propaganda poster of a welder. Inspired by the character of "Boxer" from George Orwell's "Animal Farm", this Union Welder is a serious WorkHorse, a dedicated worker for himself and his station, and proud of his position. On a side note, I have no idea as to how the flipped-up welder's mask would actually fit over his long face...

Upon the riverboat “Trepidation” in 1892, I came across this fine group of gentlemen playing a rousing game of stud poker while their colleagues looked on. They seemed to be so engrossed with the game, they hardly noticed my presence, apart from the one crocodilian visage that turned to me and kindly asked me to leave, ‘lest he be inclined to “bite my head clean off”…

I've always admired the gambler - someone who sees money as so disposable that they throw all they have into a single toss of dice or hand of cards. I do not have that kind of whim. I prefer to use my money not to create more with risk, but rather to pursue other goals.

But I still have great admiration for those sly devils (or foxes) who can...
